I was born senseless,
And have carried this burden
Beyond memory.
Long have I worn the turquoise
That brought light and sound to grace my path
Where once there was naught but sheer terror and pain.
Thankful I am to hold its blessings,
Yet for the price I still pay
...I must not look back...
For my soul remains shielded
And mind and body walk ever onward
In the light of faith that warms all around my path.
Let flame and love shun the hateful rage
That threatens my every step.
This gift I must bear,
And this curse I must carry
Lest all be consumed.
Ken-Jo drew this wonderful sketch for me shortly after "A Touch of Rage", this being one possible interpretation of what Guan's rage demon (i.e. Anxyazsaetho) appears like as contained within the necklace. The small bit of poetry I wrote I hope may be sufficient to accompany it for the time being, written in a symmetrical syllabic verse akin to an enhanced haiku. This has been my wallpaper ever since I received it over two years ago, and it is unlikely that will ever change. :) Hope you guys like it as much as I did!
