Seriously. Not a swarm of fap material or generic Sonic rip-offs, but ART. Something that can make a person sit back and marvel at the work, the attention to detail, and the many and varied messages and meanings that can be pulled from it.

Your comment means a lot to me. Sometimes (ok a lot of times) I feel like just giving up on the furry art community because OMG I don't draw huge veiny penises. I met a kid at AC who was unfamiliar with my art, and, when I showed him my FA gallery, he got all huffy because of my lack of adult art.

The problem with (and, oddly, the main driving force of) the furry community is that it is a very art-driven subculture. Indeed, it's probably the only reason it exists at all--and due almost entirely because of anthropomorphic animal cartoon characters and it's effect on people.

This would be all fine and good on it's own, but the vocal minority want their goddamn porn. FA is a porn site; you can't argue it ISN'T, because that's what 90% of the user base is here for. To fap.

Sadly, it's of no surprise that good work like your own gets swept away under the mass of 5-second doodles of dog penises and gaping vagina's. People don't come here to appreciate art somuchas get their rocks off.

Just remember, people are watching you. And they like what they see. So, don't give up because some little punk couldn't appreciate something that isn't two foxes acting all yiffy with one another.

I completely agree with you - and I can deal with erotic art. I LIKE erotic art. However, my idea of "erotic" isn't, er, how to phrase this, um, dickgirls with bioluminescent nipples wearing ballgags and peeing all over each other.

If it helps at all, I went through a period of middling popularity when I drew a bunch of explicit pics, but then I noticed that most of the people I was popular with never wanted to see anything else and kept begging me for increasingly-boring sex pics, so it was stifling and pointless. Even if it's just a passing temptation, don't worry about it, because your pieces have more worth than a thousand spank pics. :)
