If I had muscles like that, I'd have a lot more self esteem

Well I mean, I've got a soda gut and moobs, I have a lazy left eye, and I'm balding pretty bad. If I at least had muscles like that, I wouldn't have to be so self-conscious about when I go swimming.

I've always seen them at matches wearing speedos and such... but I've never seen them swim. Are they able to swim!?

though maybe if the sparkles were pink I'd find it just as humorous as Armstrong. xD

It was Armstrong's wits and that curled hair with stars and hearts and junk that made me not scared of him. In other anime and in real life... muscle men and woman scare me. Not the "they can really hurt me" scare me... just a "this kinda creeps me out" scare me. Of course give the big burly dude a cutsy persona and maybe a miniture poodle or a chihuahua and then my fear is gone.


Same with gangsters. As soon as they have a weakness and the barrier of "this is a scary person" is gone and I know a bit about them I don't mind them all that much. But if their gimick is to be goofy ALL the time as in Ah! My Goddess's macho men then it doesn't work. Nope.... still bothers me. D: But I adore a lot of the gangster/bad guys/bully with a heart manga where they're just misunderstood people and they have an adorable crush on some girl. XD ♥

That does seem to help! Sometimes for the musclier ones it doesn't work for me anymore though, I think it's cause the main reaction for me with really muscly guys in the first place is uncanny valley, but with anime, the tend to make goofy unrealistic (dem glorious pink sparkles yus) ones like Armstrong, which makes that reaction vanish. ; v;
