One day I was sketching Don Karnage, trying to do it at least good, if not perfect, basing on the ofiicial reference picture from Disney Television Animation. Well, I was amazed how a lineart turned out then, but flat colouring it and giving it simple background weren't good enough fo me. So I was thinking about the thing that would make it at least not cliche. And then Amnesia: Dark Descent, the game, which I was testing two weeks ago came to my mind!
And voila!
Good thing I've re - installed GIMP, so I could experiment with more advanced curves tool, making shadows with areograph and some light effects. And this time, even of not graphing few inches of Karny's body and face, I'm proud of my work.
I think The Prince of Pirates doesn't need oil nor tinderbox to use kerosene lamp just like Daniel, Justine and Oswald were doing it. And he's brave (or reckless) enough not to bring that lamp nor sanity potion, only candle holder and his beloved cutlass. Maybe he will survive this... ALONE.
Don Karnage and Talespin belong to Disney.
Amnesia: Dark Descent, from which I took inspiration, belongs to Frictional Games.
Art belongs to me.
