Putting down a dog, especially when its not yet elderly, is a tragic thing.
He/she must have been horribly sick and dieing for you to perform such a thing.
I can understand why such an option was chosen considering this, and as such I'm sure there is no need for forgiveness, when something like this would be welcomed.
