History: When she was 6, Trisha was attacked by a gang of boys. They tried to kidnap and rape her. She fought back, kicking and yelling for help. In an attempt to silence her and make her comply, the boys drew their knives, hoping it would scare her. It didn't. By the time help came, Trisha had been badly cut up all over. The doctors did the best they could for her, but from that day, her body would carry the scars of the attack. She would also require constant hospital visits to monitor her heath due to some of the deeper wounds damaging her internal organs. The event changed the young girl. She knew how lucky she was to have lived, and decided to use it as inspiration to enjoy life. Trisha would grow up to live life to it's fullest, always seeking out new experiences and making every second count. She dragged her best friend, Leena, along for the ride. The young German Shepard was never ashamed of the scars that covered her body, choosing to show off her body as she matured like they never existed. Her theory was: If others want to be offended by what they see, then that's their problem. Not mine.
bu the time Trisha was 16, however, her health was starting to decline. The doctors warned her that before long, she would need to take up residence in a hospice where she would require 24 hour care. Such treatment might give her an extra 10 years to live, but she would likely be in constant pain, and so doped up on medication that she would enjoy little quality to her life. The only other option was to stop all treatments and let nature take it's course, with 5 months the longest the doctors could guarantee her. trisha chose the 5 months. She gave her most personal artifacts to her mother, and sold the rest, taking Leena on a world tour as one final fling. It was on this bucket-list trip that Leena and Trisha got their first tattoos and lost their virginity with each other. The day Trisha dies was hard on her mother and Leena, but her final words gave them strength, and lead to Leena living her life they way she does now: Enjoying every moment to it's fullest.
Don't cry. Don't morn me. There's no need for sadness. I've lived more in my 16 years than most will in 100. Celebrate my life. Make me proud, Leena. Live the way I did. I know you can do it. So I don't want to see any tears. Keep my spirit alive, Kitten. I love you and Mum so very much.
