aaand a tiny tidbit of info, just for those who care:

Carelis is the first experimental female (XF) unit, created via elaborated procedures consisting on merging and manipulating the DNA of two or more “parents” to grow an artificial human being. Her creator offered her parents, who were unable to conceive a child naturally but were too afraid to adopt a heir as it would (as her mother’s family called it) muddy their lineage, to create a child for them that keeps their family line uncompromised.

Compared to later XF units, she wasn't forcefully aged up; growing up like a normal child and therefore reducing the physical and mental instability that, say, XF-10 suffers from - however her body eventually shows signs of a 3rd DNA source that was not of her “parents”.
