Must resist urge to post more FNAF art... >w<
Tef is a Safety Animatron, intended for the sole purpose to educate kids on the concept of "Paying it Forward" and ask kids to not be too rowdy in the premises. If not, he wouldn't strongarm them away, but he will be programmed to alert any on-duty staff members to deal with the situation.
Come midnight to 6am, second to Freddy, he's the least likely animatron to overtly attack the player in the office. He patrols the premises, and if he comes across the player staring at him for too long, he'd cause Chica, Foxy, or Bonnie to chase the player. For the first time for the night, he would walk up to the camera, and do the "I've got the eyes on you" gesture to the player, before stepping back and looking at the camera intently.
If he, by the rare chance comes into the office, the player, if he react quickly enough, can have a chance to yank his collar and reveal a small keypad. Input the correct code and Tef will not bother you for the rest of the night, and you'll get sights on the animatronics whereabouts...for the rest of the night too. Fail and get your arse handed to you.
Pay attention to his knocks on the closed doors, they give a hint on the keypad.

I'm pretty amazed on how FNAF is getting, not even to mention the creepy ad on FA, although I can't play the game (I want to sleep after all) but this game is getting a great fan reception.
Is is just me, or in a way do you kinda fell sorry for the androids, if the room or is correct that they are possessed by the kids?

It's due to the fact that this game has furry-ish elements to it that makes the antagonists likeable.
Regarding possession, it's a tentative theory that does hold some weight, but my personal support of this theory ends when I back the point that these robots (given the fictional surroundings) do have some sort of advanced hidden sentience in them that gives them "organic" emotional qualities. If I back this theory, it just sounds....sorta stupid that the robots could eat up the children souls and not be fighting a never-ending battle with themselves. As that point is never present - the speculations just state that it's rumoured that the kids' souls are part of the bots, it's an open ended pit of uncertainty that will involve way too may paradoxical points. The rumours are further confirmed to be, well, rumours given the hallucinations present in the game, such as Freddy's "organic" bloodshot eyes.
Overall, it's a pretty vague backstory given the amount of leeway fans can take it left, right, and centre, and it'll be great it the developer keeps it that way in a sense with the sequel.
And regarding feeling sorry for them robots, I look above to the point made at the start of the second paragraph. In addition, I can't help feeling even more sorry for the underdog of the quartet, Foxy, but I guess that's the furry side of me. Heh.
