I cooked the rice with orange and lemon juice as well as chicken stock, so it was pretty flavorful. the salmon was a honey/soysauce glace with crushed red pepper, I didn't think it would work, when i sampled the glaze but WOW it was tasty! the broccoli I added lots of minced fresh garlic, some onions, and thinly sliced carrots and sauteed them.

I dont see why steamed rice wouldnt work with this :3
Since Im sure you know how to cook sushi rice, and its steamed / sprinkled with mirin - the same application would apply with juice...
Or, use the zest instead if the juice, if youre concerned about affecting the rice cooker with the acids from the oj/lime juice!

Not sure how the short-grained sticky rice would work, but just shifting to a long-grained or brown rice (not the minute "fast" types but normal kinds) ought to let you make this as written in your rice cooker. Just mix the ingredients in a bowl and measure out the right amount of the mixed liquid for the amount of rice you want to make, according to the instructions in your cooker.
Vargr has made all sorts of flavored rice dishes in his rice cooker (a Sanyo ECJ-100S 10-cup model), using chicken broth, fruit juices, beef or pork stock, etc. And mixing in the sliced green onions and nuts with the rice will work just fine! Wuff has mixed raisons, carrots, mushrooms, nuts, and many other items into his. Makes some very YUMMY stuff!
Making it directly in the rice cooker instead of mixing the ingredients then adding prepared rice and heating in a microwave, will mean that every grain of rice will be infused with the flavor as it is cooking, instead of just coated with it from the microwave version.

You have a brilliant mind, and amazing experience to back it up!
And You have a beast of a rice cooker!! My little Toshiba pales in comparison.
I have made a few good meals out of my rice cooker, various versions of Takikomi Gohan, but never tried anything like this. raisins and nuts are a grand idea!!
