Yes, you got an Owlet. And yes, inside every Owl is a large scale, which is basically acting like a skeleton for lack of a better term. Without it they just kinda, look like blobs or something because they don't stand up nearly as well as the Owlets do. Or, if you rather and are familiar with Family Guy, remember the episode where Peter found that genie and the one time wished he had no bones? Something like that. XD
