WHEN WAS THIS DOLL MADE?
August 14, 2014
WAS THIS DOLL A PROTOTYPE?
nope
COMMUNICATION
This was Premade that I purchased via Etsy. Within an hour the package was shipped and I got a message from the Anyaboz with the tracking information
DID THEY MEET YOUR DEADLINE?
N/A
HOW WAS THE ART DOLL PACKAGED?
The package had a nice drawing of my doll on the outside by my address. inisde the box I found another drawing and a handwritten note telling me about my new doll's personality and how to pose and take care of it. The doll was packed very well, inside an Air column bag (looked like this: http://image.dhgate.com/albu_349834.....9_00/1.0x0.jpg ) and surrounded with tightly packed paper shreds. it was very firm but didn't crush the doll; it protected it very well.
DID YOUR DOLL ARRIVE IN ONE PIECE?
yep! It was perfect
WAS YOUR DOLL SEWN?
This doll is made with real fur and it is glued as far as I can tell. The whole doll looks pretty seamless.
IS YOUR DOLL FLOPPY STYLE OR ARTICULATED?
This doll is articulated with wire, The arms and head can be posed, and the feet can move just above the ankle. the main body is stiff (she uses chicken wire to sculpt the body) but it make the doll very stable and sits up easily. there are no wires poking out anywhere Even though there is limited movement and pose-ability, the gesturing hands make a variety of expressions possible
STABILITY, IS YOUR DOLL STABLE?
the doll is very stable, it's meant to be in a sitting pose and I have no worries of it tipping.
DOLL DETAIL
The hard parts of the doll are sculpted simply, but to great effect. there are a few fingerprints visible on the clay, but it doesn't bother me much. I love the gesture of the hands, looks like she is telling a story. The paint job is also very simple but good.
FABRIC DETAILING
She used a variety of different furs on this doll, all of them are natural colored and have great detail by nature of being real fur. the fabric is anchored to the hard parts with glue, it's only noticeable on the head because the fur direction is going backward. the arms and legs have fur that's been trimmed down that I wish would have been done a little cleaner. there's some uneven, choppy, and cut close parts on the legs especially.
MATERIALS
made from real fur and polymer clay parts
WOULD YOU BUY FROM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND?
yes! I think this doll and all her work is beautiful, really eye catching in the room. The artist was quick to ship and really friendly. This is my first experience buying an art doll and I am very pleased
