My New Acquisition for Art!
i have been waiting for years for this item. When I first got my iPad I was disappointed to learn that Apple was not going to add pressure sensitivity. Very disappointed. I wanted to begin using the iPad to work on my art. A sort of "portable drawing board."
Last week I tried attaching MW's bamboo pad to the iPad. I had no luck and I was beginning to think I'd never be able to use the iPad art programs with a tablet. I went online to see what success others had, and found that Wacom had developed just what I needed: the Intuos Creative Stylus. Went to their website and saw the MSRP at $100! OUCH!!
I then went to Amazon and found out that they were having a SALE on the pen for $49.95, and with some points I had saved up, I ended up spending $25! Great deal.
I love the pen. I'm still not used to it but I'm learning. It takes a AAAA type battery. QUADRUPLE A BATTERY! I didn't even know they made such a thing. It came with one, but you always want backup. I found it at Best Buy: 2 for $5. I also read that Duracell 9V batteries are essentially 8 Quadruple A Batteries rigged up in tandem! So when I get some time, I'm going to see if that's true. *explodes battery!!* lol
So if anyone has tried this Intuos Creative Stylus, please let me know how you like it. I'm spending more time on my drawing tablet getting the art backlog done and then I'll spend time using the pen with my iPad.
Hey, imagine MuscleWolf drawing and inking a picture Commission at the MFF Con and then me importing it into the iPad and colouring it right there! And then EMAILING it to the Commissioner who has paid for it via PayPal card swipe. isn't technology wonderful???
