"A warm, summer breeze filled the air as the wolfcat climbed up the tree trunk and made her way up as high as she could before finding a sturdy branch that suited her needs. Glancing up and around the tree, Whisper settled in a shady spot, making sure the leaves from the tree provided just enough coverage to keep her cool from the sun’s unforgiving rays. It was a known fact that wolfcats hated the heat, and this young wolfcat was no exception as she lazily shook out her fur, the brown specks in her fur allowing her to camouflage against the tree branches- not that she had a reason to hide, other than to escape the heat and humidity of the Southern summer.
As Whisper curled up against the branch, her goal to stay there until nightfall, she watched as a flock of birds flew around the tree, in and out of the patches of light coming in through the leaves; occasionally one or two birds would perch nearby…apparently they sensed the wolfcat was no threat to them as she lazily watched them. A faint rustle and a shift on the branch from behind caused the branch to slightly sway, but Whisper chose to ignore it, figuring it was just a squirrel playing or running around the tree. Who would have thought, it was actually a rabbit! Somehow, it had managed to climb up the tree as well to keep her company..."
[What, you didn’t know rabbits could climb trees? But of course!]
Don’t worry Whisper, summer will be over soon; hang in there…
I haven’t gotten much art of feral Whisper lately, much less her summer coat so dang it, I figured why not end summer with a proper piece of her? Huge thanks to AgentWhiteHawk on dA for this lovely piece; she put so much time and effort into it and certainly didn’t disappoint! Whisper is attempting to hide from the summer heat the best way a wolfcat knows how to: by hiding in the shade until summer ends or it cools off again, whichever comes first. And yes, that is a rabbit in the tree…don’t ask me how; it’s just good like that
I’ll be posting more commissions I’ve received throughout the week, mood and time permitting. In the meantime, enjoy~

I told you, that bunny is evil! Just look at its evil face!
...honestly I'm not sure; it must be a rare breed of tree-climbing rabbit. That or it latched onto Whisper's backside without her knowing *shrugs* Worse case, she can use the rabbit as a little pillow to cuddle up with while it's up there

Oh my god that is amazing, this HAS to be the commission you were talking about to me a few days ago. The way the sun seems to be peeking through a thick morning fog is incredible. Also that pose your feral character is in is really unique (and looks like a challenge to get down).
What really gets me is how gorgeous the character itself looks and all those hundreds of little leaves, it must have taken forever to make all those leaves

Nope, this is not the commission I was referring to; the one I told you about, I'll post later this week
This one is beyond epic, don't get me wrong but I have one more epic one to post...when I'm not too lazy to (and busy). But didn't she do an incredible job! I ordered this months ago (back in june I want to say) but just got it back yesterday- and all the details and hard work she put into it made the wait more than worth it; I can only imagine how long she took on the background
