Well...that plot point was resolved relatively cleanly! I mean seriously sometimes comics have entire arcs devoted to people not believing the main character is who they say they are or being all confused about it, and here he is just like "you're Kass aren't you" "yes?" "yeah I knew it, I'm just that good!". heck of a first impression too, gives the impression he's quite the intelligent leader who deserves his position.
Also someone is sassy! Also not sure if you're ready to answer, but is "Vizlet" (is that violet yinglet-fied?) just a genius level Yinglet, Or does the female chromosome the one that contains the smarts? Or is it a cultural thing moreso than a genetic thing where males are not held to as high of a standard?

Oh yes, this is just the way I like to handle things; I remember reading the occasional romantic comedy manga and thinking, "It's been 10 volumes and even though they know they like each other, they refuse to move past the occasional accidental kiss!" I found myself thinking, "Man, if I were writing this, I'd have them get over it, start a relationship, and spend the story exploring that relationship."
While there's a few questions about what's going on that aren't going to be answered immediately, I personally prefer getting the immediate and pressing questions answered so that we can go ahead and have fun with them.
As for Viracroix, there have definitely been a few members of the Salia bloodline that have been less than competent, but Viracroix has a reputation for being a solid, dependable Trademaster.
I'm not going to give away all the details of yinglet culture, but I can say that like humans, the higher class and/or more educated people tend to spend more time indoors and among others of their 'class,' whereas the poor, uneducated and skill-less tend to spend more time running around under the hot sun doing all the gruntwork.

I certainly hope it is! A major reason that I started this whole comic was to make sure I was drawing regularly and improving. While most of that improvement has been in the area of speed (I was very slow and over-cautious at first), I'm now concentrating on tightening up things like cloth dynamics, character consistency and whatnot. And shading techniques... I've gone through about three already and still haven't completely settled on one!
Eyyyup, in human society, she'd be that slightly older madam that makes sure a young lady can walk in heels while balancing a stack of books atop her head. We can't have you making a fool of yourself in front of the baron; fix your posture, add another book, and start over!
She is going to have a hard time if she's going to teach Kass. But do keep this up. c:
I love your ability to express emotions, bring in the unexpected and the expected in equally amazing ways, and your ability to keep the readers at the edge of the seat, waiting with buzzing excitement to see what happens next, even if it's something they've heard before. You, darlin', are amazin'! <3

I really jump at any chance to draw expressive poses and faces, since face and body language speaks loudly in a format that doesn't have sound, like comics. I'm really glad it's coming through well! And I continue to be overjoyed that the comic is being enjoyed so well by so many. Thanks once again for the encouragement!
No no no! Grasshoppers have a very grassy taste themselves, like timothy grass (guinea pigs' main diet, so go to a petstore and take a whiff of that) or under-ripe wheat stalks, whereas moths and their larval forms are soft, moist and semi-sweet. God, it's like you don't know how any bugs taste. >:(
Several things of note here. Some may be important. Some probably aren't.
1. The leader (you mentioned his name, but I can't recall it and couldn't track it down) looks like a fop, but seems to be intelligent and competent. It defies the expectations of the readers, and quite possibly of the characters within the setting. Well done.
2. Said leader has yellow or golden eyes. This may be important, or it may just be a coloring choice by the artist.
3. The yinglet matriarch speaks much, much more intelligently than the other yinglets we've seen, all of which are male. Are females more intelligent naturally, or is more attention paid to their upbringing because they're relatively rare? Given what we've been told so far, it could be either, or both. I'm really becoming keen to get a look at yinglet society.
4. The fact that the leader has no doubt at all about Kass' identity speaks volumes - though it's hard as yet to figure out just what it's saying.
5. That the yinglet is skeptical also is rather telling. This isn't a common occurrence, it's not built into yinglet's lore about their own origins, and they're not responsible, at least deliberately, for Kass' change.
6. This part came out only a few days after part 33, which was posted shortly after part 32. Your art is getting speedier, which will please pretty much everyone.
I am definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Ooh, another juicy set of observations~
1. Yeah, while most of the Salia bloodline has been a bit foppish (a tendency of anyone born into a privileged family), Viracroix is undoubtedly one of the more competent Trademasters in the family line. This guy has some... interesting things going on.
2. It may indeed be one of those things or maybe not one of those things!
3. Yeah, I'm eager to get into their society as well; once some basic things are laid down, then I can start having fun with them. :D Without spoiling anything, Vizlet in particular is just very well educated (for a yinglet, in any case).
4. He did have a few different theories, but risked a guess at his most promising one. More on that later.
5. [Man, I can't think of anything to say that wouldn't spoil or hint or suggest something here]
6. Yeah, 8 basic panels in 2 days is a new record for me! Still, I'm torn between quality and quantity, which is an issue in any comic format. With so much story to tell, I want to develop a style that emphasizes character expression and speed, but then I'll look at something like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/14450327/ and think "Oh god that's beautiful, I should spend more time on fine detail and painterly depth!" But then again, if that was a panel there, I'd need to draw 6 or 7 more like it for one comic; so while it would look beautiful, it would take weeks to finish a single page. And I've noticed that when I read comics, my eyes don't usually linger on a single panel very long, as I'm reading it for the story, dialogue and character interaction. Still, I can't help but to want both~

His facial expressions, gestures, and over all decorousness have me stuck reading his dialogue in Stephen Fry's voice. Love the last panel, he seems to be about the only non-witness taking Kass seriously. Or perhaps the matriarch is just feigning nonplus. That brings into question if there's not a conspiracy about the nature of yinglet femininity.
There's something about Viracroix that I find peculiar. It's like he's eager, like he has a keen interest in transformation. I get this feeling mainly from his reaction to Vizlet's statement that Kass does not belong to her society. He's suggests that Kass would have to pop up out of nowhere, which likely means "came from somewhere else." He also suggests that she "was not a yinglet until recently." This stating, it was transformation, thus magic. However, he's living in a world where magic is absent, so why wouldn't he be ready to believe his first suggestion? My belief in his character is further confirmed when he is evidently pleased that Kass is the yinglet.
This brings me to the second thing I wanted to discuss. Viracroix knows Kass is the yinglet.
Me: How?
He addresses Kass by his full name just to confirm his transformation theory, but the fact that he addresses him by his name says that he somehow knew that the yinglet is indeed Kass. Kass turned into a yinglet literally the night before, so I am still bewildered at how he could come to such an assumption rather quickly.
There's probably a simple explanation for it. I don't want to feel like I'm missing something, but it's not like I'm beating my head over it day and night.
