Modeled after a hawk/osprey other small predator bird this can also be used for gryphons.
Fits up to 24" heads, and is designed to work with our 2" 3D eyes, but you can use smaller if you want.
These don't need jawsets; you basically can just line the inside of the mouth with fleece or something and make a tongue, or use one of our fat dragon tongues. :)
These can be found in our stores.

I'm hoping one day I'll get one of these and try and make a partial of a secretary bird, since the mask seems to fit well with the beak-style of the bird.

encase your wondering what a secretary bird looks like.
right now do you only sell the parts or do you also offer putting the hinge on it and elastic?
and would it be extra or just the added prices of parts together?

Really important question on these.
Are there any pics available to scale the size of the resin blank?
A pic next to a ruler would do it, if nothing else is available.
I am planning on making a Polish winged hussar gryphon suit...But they size of the head could be critical in making the helmet to fit and be proportional.
So I need some kind of idea how big the mask is, or how large the finished heads built on this are before I know if I can use one for the project.
Examples of the armor in question-

And a bit of inspiration-

Thanks for any info you can provide.
I may be offering armor and jewelry made specifically for fursuiting in the near future.
Keep me in mind if you need any metalworking done.

Thank you!
Hm..
Might be a tad large for what I have in mind, but I'll need to sit down and do some sketching and patterning to be sure.
Can the hinges be mounted inside the jaw instead of outside to save space, and still move freely?
I have a 22 inch head, so theres going to be a bit of room, if these are sized to a 24 inch head.
Is there any adjustment room on the eyes? Can they be moved inwards any?
Well...That one may not work, depending on the thickness oh the shell and whether I had to trim is narrower.
I imagine I would just have to see.
The yellow looks good enough for a base to start from.
Obviously, I'd be doing some painting.
I am currently tearing my hair out finishing a large and strenuous order for a customer myself right now, so it'll be at least a week, or maybe a bit more before I can order anything.

they can, but the reason we don't is because if that's where you attach everything including springs, you could end up catching them on your cheeks or hair when it's being worn. Eyes can't be moved any, but you could always cut into the mask in different areas if you bought an uncut.
Makes sense.
I have lots of deerskin and other thin leathers lying about.
So I could add a lining layer that would prevent catching.
Have to see what seems to work.
If the eye placement is pretty rigid, I can just work with it.
It was worth asking what your opinion was on possible adjustment.
But I work with armor, so I'm used to lack of wiggle room for tweaking.
Well, the only real way to see if it works for my very odd project is to just buy one and play with it.
Worse comes to worse, I can just make it into a fursuit head, then sell it to someone and start over.
