New Hampshire is considered a small state, but that's only if you're looking at a map. It's like saying the Empire State Building is small because it's less than 200 feet wide. If you count the third dimension, NH is pretty impressive. It's one of the reasons I prefer New England over places like the midwest, which are flat, and to me, boring.
