I'm afraid I don't really get the joke.

Essentially yes.... Basically "Scorching" as I envisioned it, is the act of sneaking up behind a fellow dragon, and giving them a hot tail/butt.
... Obviously though, should the 'unsuspecting victim' be a suspecting.... and, as you might well imagine- if human farts are quite flamable, then dragon farts must surely be...... yeah... downright explosive.
