Well, I know

stripedwolf AKA SomeWolfGirl, who, unlike what the name implies, is a fennec, soooo I can understand why they judge by the colors they see rather than by the name. Of course, they don't look further than that, and that's where they're wrong.

Well I always list the species as "wolf" and I put "red wolf" in the tags. :V

Like I said, they don't look further than your icon to "know" what species you are. Tags are for people who actually care about those.
