I have this longstanding love of Medusai... they are just... I dunno, awesome. And I love the story... except that the Medusa never wanted to be what she was. She never was an active monster, or even acted, according to the story, in the ways she was portrayed in most modern media. She was transformed for being... 'played with'... in the wrong location, and then had her head cut off by an adventurer. I kinda picture her being sorrowful of her predicament... and thusly, this picture.

You really don't get enough sympathetic love for characters like gorgons. Just, "omy, lets see sum naga porn!" ... Forget the fact Nagas were snakes with human faces, and Lamia was an individual, not a species. Making the modern "lamia" more a fun little modern creation. ... But yes, this came out great.
