My half of an art trade with  abberati! She has this ADORABLE platypus character that I couldn't help but pick to draw ^-^*

This was made with watercolors, white crayon, a bit of calligraphy ink, and black marker for minor details. I was having fun with the background wash and using white crayon as a resist for the bubbles.

Constructive critique welcome! My mother already said that my shading is improving, but I'm still laying the colors on too thick and not taking advantage of the unique properties of watercolor. I still need to practice with varying amounts of water and pigment.
