My amazing friend Kizzy
was incredibly kind and told me she would make a new reference of SilverWing for me when I ran the idea by her. We texted back and forth about her design, and this was the finished product. Kizzy prefers to draw non-anthro characters, and I feel this was for the best for a reference of SW, because you can see all of her markings without being obscured by hair and other such things.
She included some of SilverWing's newest design additions - the white "eyedots" she now has in place of eyebrows. This change was made to incorporate my Aussie Dexter into SW's design. I try to incorporate all of my dogs into her design, and I felt this way was the best to include him - and I always have loved eyedots!
So SilverWing has basically become a sort of warped gryphon - dog+falcon. Her forearms are falcon talons, her hind legs are typical sheltie paws. Included in this reference is her back tattoo that runs along her spine - the Tool logo from Lateralus of the Third Eye, that I modified with more purple. This is a picture perfect rendition, as I sent her a few photos of it as she made this image.
And the ball SW is gnawing on is based on the Toy Story/Pixar one. Props to those who recognized that!
Here we have her, SilverWing, the Shetland Sheepdog/Peregrine Falcon hybrid. Always wearing those glasses you see up there. Female, green eyes, purple hair that is parted down the middle, long and straight, reaching her lower back. Various scars amongst her body. Feathery wings of her body color fading into a fluffy sheltie tail. Extroverted and hyper like a Sheltie, Introverted and secretive like a Falcon. A walking contradiction, just as I see myself.
~ALSO! Kizzy is offering commissions for art like this to anyone who has any Colorific Colored Pencils they are willing to trade. For more information please see my journal entry here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6100940/ ~
