Cyn is Milly's First Mate aboard her ship. He and Milly met at a penal colony where they were sent for being pirates. They both lost an eye, as is a common punishment for pirates because it fucks with their depth perception and hinders them in he future. He lost his arms as punishment from trying to steal from a royal treasury. The nerve damage to his right shoulder when they cut his arm off was so bad that he would never be able to use anything but his middle finger and thumb, so when he got his replacement arms his had a claw hand in place of a regular one. The gem in his chest is a Nova Crystal, concentrated Solar Energy that powers all his cybernetic implants. Nova Crystals are very expensive, because they can run cybernetics like his for decades before running dry.
