Nicknames: Sephy, Persie

Orientation: Which way does the celestial compass point?
Height: As tall as 6 stacked rib bones
Body build: A small broken thing

Personality: The easiest way to describe Persephone is 'unhinged.' Having spent most of her life trapped in a darkened cave or being beaten by various groups of captors, she has a somewhat 'unique' outlook on life. She is a quiet little thing, and quite likes to hum out-of-tune songs to herself. She has a tendency to sway, and huddle herself into small balls. She often seems dreamy and 'not all there' – as she loses herself in her own world. Unfortunately, that world can start appearing as the 'real' world to her, and she sees things that aren't there and babbles about incomprehensible lands. She is incredibly easy to scare, loud noises and fast movements causing her to bolt, and she tends to hide under things or in small, enclosed spaces – where she feels safest. It is, perhaps, due to her time trapped in tight spaces that she feels most comfortable when surrounded by walls, and is very uneasy in the open. Bright colours hurt her eyes and cause her to whine and cover her face, but she quite likes reds. She can stand the company of one or two Dashers, but in the company of more, she squirms and can't make eye contact with most.
People close to her realize that maintaining a conversation with her can be hard, especially as the tone of her voice raises and lowers, as does the sound, from whisper to shout, depending on what it is she's speaking about. She often refuses to look at people's faces, and likes to play with her hair, which can distract her. The subject of conversation changes easily – especially when she's seeing things, and she quite be difficult to keep up with. She is slow to trust, but when she does she can be incredibly clingy – much like a needy dog. She follows people around pathetically, while trying to act as though she's just 'walking in the same direction.'
Relationships/History: Born to what could simply be called a 'challenging' mother, Persephone was removed from Star Dasher society at a young age due to her single parent's bouts of intense paranoia. Believing the world was out to hurt her and her child, Sephy's mother, Atigane decided that living alone was their only hope of survival and the pair became something akin to cave dwellers, shunning the company of others. For a number of years they remained living in the wilds – until the pair unfortunately stumbled across a wandering band of StarShooter mercenaries.
Taking Atigane's gem, Persephone's slightly more stable mind was fractured as her mother wasted away to nothingness, and then she herself was left to rot, shut away in one of the cave systems she had once called home, simple sport for the shooters. Sephy, however, was used to living in the dark. Indeed, her growth had been stunted and her body had adapted to seeing where there was no light. Thus, able to survive on but a little food and vegetation, Persephone did her utmost to survive.
It took years until the blocked cave system was discovered by miners, believing things had been hidden in the cave by former pirates. Startled by their intrusion, and overwhelmed by her re-introduction to light and the world, Sephy fled her former prison and returned once again to the wild.
