Worked on it a bit more, as you can see. :) This is obviously not a how-to thing or anything, because I have absolutely no clue what I am doing.

ANYWHO, I realized that the only way I would be able to salvage the details would likely be to go ahead and ink them. There's just too much stuff that I don't want to lose, like the hickman line. Then, I'm going to try and keep my colored pencils very light and simple.


I added some more details in too, and tried to pay attention to line variations. Some areas, like Vinci's pupils, look weird now because I'm picking where I plan to blend in the darkest shades.

I had to keep dabbing my brushpen because it kept drying out over the pencil lines, which is the mess you see all over the sides of the paper. Since I'm cutting the piece out, I'm just using that as my "tester" area :) Also the minute I started inking was about when the cats decided they wanted attention. I just managed to save it from a deadly attack of Red Dog spittle.

I've got the background papers ready to go, and you can see I've added some embellishments here already. :) Arty's such a glamour queen.
