4th song by Blatant Innuendo. Much more somber song.
Yes, it's a made up word. But it's basically the condition of having a damaged circadian rhythm.
The harmonica is played by me. Comes in a bit harsh at first...I got better. Singing's a bit crappy in this one, but whatever.
This is a fiddled-with recording of one of our practice sessions. This recording includes all of the final 4 members of the band, like the 1st and 2nd songs. It was a interesting one to play live, because it would only be David and me in the beginning. At some shows the drummer, bassist and other guitarist actually left the stage, then came back for their entrance. Pretty fun.
This was actually the last song that was pretty much fully written/constructed with just David and me. Though Anuj of course added his solo, and Stu added his touch on the drums. He had this idea when hearing the song that there was a kind of a storm brewing during the song, so the 2 drum hits you hear on each of the choruses were like his thunder claps. Pretty cool, I thought, though the fully produced recording would have made that sound much better.
There were a couple things I would've liked to do differently in this song, and MORE I would've done later on. This was also my first attempt at poetic imagery and metaphor, and I was pretty happy with what I came up with.
Oh, the pic is at a BOTB at a church in Davis. Kinda silly...the band FROM THE CHURCH won the thing. But anyway, that's me in the center rockin' it with the drummer, Stu, during a solo or something. Anuj is the guitarist on the right, and David is the guitarist with the hair on the left. That day Anuj wore a Chuck E. Cheese head while playing onstage. It was pretty funny...no I don't have the pic of it.
Blah blah blah. Enjoy.
