I recently had to buy a filing cabinet for personal use, since right now my filing system is just cardboard boxes filled with unsorted crap. But I don't have a lot of money, so I hit up charity shops until I found one at the ARC for $15.

It was this ugly puce color... so I was like, "why not paint it?"

Then throwing a little green spraypaint on it became painting this huge rainforest scene.

This will likely be completed in multiple phases, since there are LOTS of details I want to add: sloths, tapirs, frogs, butterflies, toucans, flowers, etc and so forth!!!

Phase 1 was painted by yours truly and my mother. We both sponged the background texture on. I did the big tree and she did all the little trees and vines.

This is my first big project using acrylics. They're easier than watercolors, ahhh! They're a lot of fun :D
