I couldn't decide which outfit I wanted to go with, so two versions for you! The left is my outfit today, with a plaid blouse for when it's cold, and the right is my favourite sweater.
Personal stuff beyond here, nothing really related to the art!
I was feeling pretty down the other day. I hadn't realized I needed new jeans, so that sucked, plus I hadn't planned on spending that money. Pant shopping is one of the things I hate most, it's just rare I actually like them and find they look nice on me. So you either leave feeling horrible, or you settle with what is best out of the bunch.
However, this time I found a couple pairs I actually really, really loved. They just feel amazing. I feel oddly sexy and cute in them at the same time, I love how my legs look. Personally, I -like- that I'm kinda stumpy and short, I think it's cute! So the jeans with a big sweater looks adorable to me. My favourite that I got is tight in the upper legs, then baggy at the moment, super cute! Now I just need to get them hemmed since I'm too short for them :P
So while it sucked having to buy new ones, at least it ended up being a good thing.
It's still hot out, I only wear some in the morning and at night, but it'll be awesome once the weather gets cooler.

I'm stumpy too ... o_o Finding jeans that fit is so hard. When you're short and ... eh, more than extra large, it's even worse! But, when you can find that pair of jeans that makes you feel cute and sexy, buy like ten xD Because I know I wear mine out fast wearing them aaaaall the time.
Both outfits are adorable, and I really like the cute little green pendant she's wearing with the right-hand outfit. The jeans and big sweater look is a really good one, I agree, and it's one that suits her very nicely, too.
It's awesome that you found some clothes you'll enjoy wearing, too. I've never liked having to go shop for new clothes, but sometimes it can turn out to really be worth it.

I'd like to tell you it's ok and no need to feel humiliated, but to be honest I know how you feel.
I've grown much more confident, but it sucks when nothing ends up working for you, especially when the people working there are SO nice and helpful and nothing works. The worst feeling is when the largest thing doesn't fit you. I was SO excited for getting a Warehouse One near by, they seemed promising, and I was so close to fitting but I couldn't. So I do understand how that feels.
(I ended up finding better jeans elsewhere anyways but still)

I'm somewhere around a 12-ish depending on the brand, but we do have a Torrid I might check out soon. I don't mind the young look as it helps me "blend in" on campus. (I'm 27 and went back to school, and it is an experience being 10 years older than the majority.)
Lately I'd been doing Old Navy, but the quality has been pretty bad lately. The pants don't seem to have quite the lifespan they used to.
Where I am most of the younger chicks are super skinny little things and I definitely feel the judgement where I go to college...

I find jeans usually end up being a more general look, so no true age to them unless they're fancy. If you're a twelve, see if you have a Warehouse One nearby, they go up to 22+ and they have really good quality jeans, bit pricey but it can be worth it.
Sometimes, it's us that thinks there's judgement going on. Not to say it doesn't happen, I was bullied in school for it, but I know that, because of that, I felt sure people thought that when I went out. It took some time to convince myself that it wasn't true. But people online helped, many people liked my outfits, how I looked. What important is how you feel about yourself, but it helped me think differently.

My go to store is Modcloth. it's an online store, but it's rare I've been disappointed (always a risk when ordering online). Mostly I do my dress shopping there rather then anything else, all but one of my dresses is from there.
Here, we only have two plus size stores, Penningtons and Additionelle (there are others, but either way, way expensive or I'm not a fan of the clothing), both pretty pricey but Penningtons gets good deals. If I just want guy t-shirts, then I can get those at places that just have regular plus sizes. I can sometimes find things in regular stores for tops, but sadly I'm limited to plus size stores for pants, so I ended up spending quite a lot which sucks, but oh well.
In the States I can visit Torrid which is similar to Penningtons in price, but more of a younger style, and what I prefer. (The shipping from there to Canada is horrible unless you buy in bulk, which I've done before but going in person is better of course)
redressnyc Has interesting clothing, but I only bought some leggings so far so I can't say much about it yet.

I won't say anything that sounds inappropriate since I don't really know you, but if *you* look anything like your kittygirl up there, you look adorable in those pants. Your 'sona is adorable in any form, though. Hooray for cuddly kitties.
...and now I want a "Meow Universikitty" shirt. That's awesome.

Kinda. I base her off myself, but I'm much heavier. I'm the type of person who holds most weight in the stomach, so in frontal, I kinda look like the image, tiny bit of waist, with my stomach showing the most from the side. I wish I looked the same all around but hey, it's cool. (to be clear, I still look heavy from the front, just different shape!)
I actually like the look of my jean on -me- more then Nessa though to be honest.
But thank you!
