Franklin had found his way into my house on a stormy night. He was injured, and freezing. At first, he didn't want me near him, but I persisted. Sliding a bowl of food to him. He sniffed at it, then proceeded to devour it. I crawled over to my fireplace and watched as he backed off behind my living room chair. I didn't have much, but I could at least help him get warm. Sparking my fire, I sat down in front of it. Summoning a towel, I laid it over my lap, and gave a few pats on it. I held out an apple in my left fore-paw, offering it to him. He was slow to approach, but eventually made his way entirely into my lap. His tail was mangled, as if he had freed it from a trap. Due to my training in healing sorcery, I placed my palms over his wounds, and began the process. He hissed at me when my paws got close to his wounds. However, once the pain subsided from his face, all he could do was watch me perform my magic. After he was completely healed, I began to dry him off more with the towel. I summoned another, and covered him up, wrapping him in both. He seemed to have a small purr like sound emanating from his throat, but I couldn't tell if it was a purr, or just some other sort of *content* sound. After some time, I tried to release him back into the wilds. However, he wanted nothing to do with leaving my side. From then on, I had officially adopted him.
We began our trials, and training. Teaching him how to use ice spells, and spells of hypnosis. From the size of his ears, I taught him how to use them to direct his hypnotic gaze upon prey, and foe alike. It made taking both on, very simple. We became powerful together, as well as inseparable.
