The Guardian

I really wanted to make a piece about the imagination and mind. Sometimes we create life in our heads, characters, environments, stories, Anything to escape the stresses of reality to find a place where we are in complete control.

This picture depicts a little girl reading a story to her stuffed panda. The character on the leash is what the panda looks like in her imaginative world. It is her guardian, the one who helps her grow, the one who is always by her side. She is never truly alone. It is a part of her. The symbolic meaning of a panda is to slow down, stop multitasking, and conserve energy. My inspiration for this piece was Luxeon. Lux is an amazing friend of mine. A panda you can always count on. Very kind, very loving and affectionate. If you don't already know Lux you should meet him.

Every one will interpret the artwork differently, this is just how I see it.
