... I seriously can't believe I'm finished and yet I am SO JAZZED I CAN HARDLY CONTAIN MYSELF. This piece has been, far and away, THE most challenging I think I've ever done, and the fact that I got to do it for two completely stellar people just made it all the better.

stripetail are both just incredible individuals, and I swear to god Stripe is like some magically enchanted sentient vessel for Wikipedia knowledge and/or insanely specific visual reference. He was basically my art director for the duration of the piece, and just. Damn. I'm even impressed with myself on how well it came out. And architecture/perspective is also a nightmare, but a nightmare I PUNCHED VICTORIOUSLY IN THE MOUTH.
There's a lot of story background to this one, but the gist of it is that our dear friend Sam has come to take one very ancient sword from the temple, and Syng, apparently, is not having it. Something tells me they're both gonna feel sore for a while in the afterglow of their friendly romp.
Anyway, enjoy, all! I am so thankful and honored to have had such great clients, and wonderful friends, and EXCELLENT company through all the days I streamed this.
Time was exactly (well, approximately) 40 hours.

This is an INCREDIBLE example of your art! Watching you create this was it's own special kind of magic, the way you work textures, layouts, lighting, and color into pieces like this is just wonderful to watch <3

Holy crap, the details in this are just mind-blowing. It's not often I actually stop and stare at an image for several minutes, usually I just glance over it and pick out something I like, but in this there's just so, so many details I absolutely love, and I keep finding them!
This is a very inspirational piece, it really makes me want to push myself artistically :)

This is honestly best viewed on ipods/iphones because you can zoom in to see all the incredible details on this. The expressions are absolutely fierce and the environment is absolutely gorgeous. I love that you were considerate enough to even make the bullet hit into that screen/wall and show wreckage pieces flying around. Just, ugh, this blows my mind!

Hot damn, Han, you REALLY brought it with this one! The building is stunning, with a variety of textures and challenges you had to address and did so swimmingly. I love how much you analyzed each part of the action, making sure the setting shows signs of the struggle. The scratches on the floor, and blood spatter, the bullet hole... everything looks so good! I also just love their expressions, they both look so determined and vicious! Great snarly mouth shapes and intense eyes.
This is a dang masterpiece, you've really outdone yourself. 40 hours of time WELL SPENT, congrats to you for being so rad, and to Sam and Strype for getting such an awesome commission!

This is superb. Usually, on a piece of this complexity, one can look and say, "Well that looks a little bit awkward," but everything in this piece is so meticulously rendered that there's really nothing to whine about. It is clear that you put long and well-used hours into it. Well done!
