You're not the only one is unsatisfied. However, I just discovered Disney still makes good toons. Brandy and Mr. Whiskers is an old school show not disimilar to Ren and Stimpy. Plus, Warner Brothers put out Brad Bird's The Iron Giant. Of course, the ass raping of Loony Tunes still can't be overlooked. Here's hoping that show will go under, like six feet under in the immediate future.
Yeah, Bugs turned out great right there. And yes, it is a shame what cartoons have become nowadays. I grew up when He-man, Transformers, GI Joe, The Pirates of Dark Water, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Captain Planet, etc. were good stuff. Jeez, the stuff they show nowadays is garbage in comparison. Seen the Saturday morning toons on Fox lately? Ugh!
Camp Lazlo is not a bad show
Loonatics Unleashed is really bad
in fact, most animation studios (outside of Cartoon Network Studios) are making cheap knock offs of other shows
allow me to give you 2 examples:
Xaolin Showdown = Avatar
Coconut Fred = Spongebob
from the 50s the early 2000s, TV animation here in the US was good now They are carbon copies of other channel's popular shows just make a profit
Cartoon Network Studios is the only animation studio in the US making quality cartoons
Animation Studios (not to mention the companies that run them) need to learn that there's more things to life then money

I definently agree with you there. Old school toons kicks butt! I grew up with classical Swedish, American and Japanese cartoons as a kid and despite today's CGI, 3D and whatever, NOTHING compares to the old times! I even love toons from the 30's despire being born '86!
And it makes me happy that people like you still draw classic toons. :] Never stop!

The main reason why Disney and Warner Bro's are doing new animations is because the fanbase is leaning more towards the eastern animation/comics but those 2 companies are shoving absalute crap in our faces.
I bet Walt Disney and the Warner Brother's found out, they would be rolling in their own graves in absalute horror at what their companies have become.

Bring back the shows of old. The Ren and Stimpy, the Loony Toons, Captain Plannet, Magic School Bus, and the old Disney toons. Those shows were some of the best in the world, yet now they lie in some back end studio, gathering dust and aging beyond recognition. Granted some of the new anime shows come pretty darn close and, in some cases, redefine originality with storylines, the originality that they used to pump out back then was, and is, KING!
All the new tunes are edgy and radical. I miss getting to see random junk like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDRu6KHRUFc
I don't know, I love the old stuff, I love some of the new stuff too. Some resent shows I like are Ben 10 (whatever subtitle). Generator Rex, TMNT (though it's up in the air thanks to the Nick buy out), Avatar, Code Lyoko, and a few others. While I think that there's plenty out there that is just fail as well (god why is Cubic back on TV or did you even notice the blip that was Wulin Warriors?), but there's always been bad shows and good ones. I will admit, at the moment everything is kind of just rolling in a holding pattern since the last new episode of Avatar was put out (the last exceptional animated show till well, hopefully the new story arc).
