After a brief hiatus brought on by two back-to-back cons, I'm again working on the Tina-Kritter 'side story' comic, as of this writing I've almost finished inking page 18 of the 28 total pages.

One benefit of the hiatus is the time to reexamine the work I've done so far, and some of it I found in need of improvement. Now, I don't claim to have done the best rendition of Kritterfox here (that honor I bestow upon the artist who drew the comission his avatar (at the time of this posting) is derived from), but still I felt a need to improve my version, the result of what you're looking at now, somewhat cleaned up and partly pencil-shaded for posting as a work-in-progress. Starting with page 16 (where this panel was taken from), I'll be adjusting all appearances of Kritter in this comic to be based upon this one. Tweaks include the position of the ears, cheek fur, head hair, eye shape and jaw.

At this point he's sitting in hip-deep mud pondering a request Tina made of him to consider another method of getting her out of her predicament (thigh-deep and still sinking) that dosen't involve lying down in the gooey mud both are currently stuck in.
