oo: A thing for an awesome little indie game called Freedom Planet~<3 This is the main heroine of the series, Sash Lilac~! X33
... Aaanyway, I mostly drew her because the development process of this game and the story of how it came to be is something I find inspiring - not to mention, the game itself is pretty badass~<3 uwu With an awesome soundtrack~! X33
So I recommend picking the game up and playing it, if you can - especially if you're a fan of old school platformers, like Mega Man and Sonic. xDD

I remember seeing this deviantART some time ago, glad you reposted here. >w< She looks so cute and happy! Very spot-on with the proportions too, I always wind up drawing her fairly thin and lanky, oops.
I'm loving Freedom Planet myself. It's everything I'd want to do with an indie game. Going back to a different time, exploring what made my favorite childhood games great, and taking all of that in a completely new direction. Freedom Planet is a love letter to the 90's, I can't help adoring it.

XDD Pfff ~ I'm glad that I remembered TO put this picture here - I spend most of my online effort on dA, to the point that I forget I have this account to look after. XDD Aaanyway, I'm glad you're liking her~! ;u; She's a real cutie, isn't she~? >w<
Eeeh, I usually have trouble with proportions on squat, Sonic-like characters, myself - specifically the muscle structure of the arms, since they're pretty much noodle-like. XDD
Aaah, Freedom Planet is the perfect throw-back platformer, for me - since I'd spend almost all my childhood playing on the Sega Genesis. :D Before N64 was a thing, anyway! I'm glad that the game seems to be relatively successful - though I'm wishing that it could have a bit more of a mainstream audience, as far as I know, it's still relatively unknown... ;~;
... Outside of the fans who have been following the game for ages, anyway. |DD
But, yes! It inspires me to want to flesh out the story I have with my own characters - it'd be cool to create a game in the vein of Freedom Planet, after all~! >w<
