This was one of my earliest anthropomorphic drawings - dating back to the early 1980s, when I held a mechanical artist's job in New York City (my only gig in the Big Apple), and I'd used an X-Acto knife, Zipatone (in various shade percentages), and a fine-lined Rapidograph as some of my tools.
At the time I was working, then-Secretary of the Interior James Watt quit his job (due in part because he mouthed out against The Beach Boys being a bad rock influence), much to the delight of 'tree huggers' (and various fauna) everywhere. Hence, this apropos image - one of the few times I'd ever made a political statement (of sorts).
