Gorddyyyyy. Mathias' goblin servant and faithful companion.
I have a back story for him, but I can't figure out how to write it because I suck at that kind of thing. *Flips a table.*
Just know that Gordy is very loyal to Mathias and owes him one.
Also here's his personality and stuff:
-Friendly
-Obedient
-Naive
-Dull witted
-Caring
-Excitable

I'd say they're the same. In a fantasy context they're used interchangeably, while in a scientific sense race would be a subspecies, like human>caucasian.
As for demon, vampire, werewolf, I'd say those are afflictions, conditions on the being that aren't really meant to be part of that organism to begin with (lycanthropy, vampirism, damnation). Goblin I'd say is it's own species.

But what if that creature was a born that 'affliction/condition'? And how would I list Gordy here? He's a goblin, yes, but he's also a lizard. Another example would be that I have anthro characters who are 'human', but instead would be listed as a mortal. How would that be written?
In regards to being born with a particular affliction, it happens all the time today with babies having Down's syndrome and Aspergers. Those afflictions don't change that they're human.
To me personally, because I like to think goblins are their own species and their own thing, I'd say Gordy would be a hybrid of lizards and goblins.
"Mortal" is more of a descriptor, not really related to classification at all. A mortal human or immortal human, it's really just like "purple" or "shiny". In a fantasy context, I'd put "Immortality vs Mortality" above even the kingdoms in organism classification (bacteria, protista, fungi, plants, animals).

But thing is he's not a hybrid. He's a goblin who just happens to be a lizard. Much like my characters are human who happen to be animals, if that makes any sense. Haha. My point is, I like listing what they are so the viewers know, and if there is a format for me to use that shows that off, just point me in the direction of one and I'll use it :B
If not! Who says I can't make one up, you know? But anyway, thanks for the help!
