My mom wanted a painting that she could hang above the stairs heading to the family room. Our living room is an olive green and there's a lot of victorian-esc furniture. To contrast with the green I knew that I wanted to do a red background (or one with a lot of red in it) and this is what happened. Overall, I am really happy with this piece.
