Rachel: Do you mind if I smoke?
Deckard: It won't affect the test. Alright, I'm going to ask you a series of questions. Just relax and answer them as simply as you can. (pause) It's your birthday. Someone gives you a calfskin wallet.
Rachel: I wouldn't accept it. Also, I'd report the person who gave it to me to the police.
Deckard: You've got a little boy. He shows you his butterfly collection plus the killing jar.
Rachel: I take him to the doctor.
Deckard: You're watching television. Suddenly you realize there's a wasp crawling on your arm.
Rachel: I'd kill it.
Deckard: You're reading a magazine. You come across a full-page nude photo of a girl.
Rachel: Is this testing whether I'm a replicant or a lesbian, Mr. Deckard?
Deckard: Just answer the questions, please.

Not sure I'd be into the prequel. The first film was a masterpiece but it's one of those where they had SO much going against them (overbudget, director stressed out due to having just lost his brother, clash's between an inexperienced Sean Young & a rather douchey Harrison Ford, and a crew that was overworked to the point where they walked out several times) that I'm pretty sure you will never see as good a Blade Runner film as that one since it was VERY 'time, place & circumstance'. Most of the best films are the ones that have all the odds stacked against them, and manage to capture a certain feel that you can never replicate. Not unless you're really lucky, and few sequels ever are.
Hm...I'm still very doubtful. Ridley Scott's films post-Gladiator haven't been as good as the stuff he did before that. I hated Prometheus, and that was a sequel to Alien (the film he made just before filming Blade Runner). To me Blade Runner was best as a single film. The statements it makes are becoming more and more relevant the better our technology gets (transhumanism-see Deus Ex:Human Revolution for a great game that explores similar themes-the series was very influenced by Blade Runner). I'm not sure how a sequel would build on what's already been explored but I guess we'll see.
