Here we have the end result of an idea that's been quite a while in the makings, and finally executed, thanks to everyone who posted on my previous journal regarding their chance for some free art. ^^

I present to you...

Pocket Refs!

What are Pocket Refs?

Well, quite simply, Pocket Refs are small, simple, chibi-like "reference sheets" that serve a very important purpose. For example- ever been to a convention, and wanted to commission art of your character- but the artist needs a reference sheet. Sure, you've got one online, maybe a very nice one, but not only is it a hassle to bring it up on a phone, or ipad, or laptop, it might also be more than what the artist needs, or it might be completely inaccessible altogether. Pocket Refs solves this. ^^

These are meant to be small, business-card-size-like reference sheets that you can keep with you in your pocket, or purse, or backpack, or whatever, that you can whip out and put right in the hand of your commissioner. It's super convenient and the artist will be able to make your drawing with as little hassle as possible. (Not to mention they're super-cute!)

Long story short, I've had this idea rolling around in my head since Furry Fiesta '14, as I was an artist and I had a frequent problem of trying to access people's reference sheets. I wished so badly there was an easier way than taking out my iPhone, draining the battery, and searching, waiting for loading, and peering down at my screen at an online reference sheet. This is sort of my way of trying to help the problem- at least, it'll make me feel better about it. :P


Right now I am asking for $10 for each of these, which includes the front, back, name plus gender/species on the front and 2-4 likes/dislikes on the back. At the moment I'm not sure if I'm going to offer them printed/laminated/mailed straight to you, because, well, I will give you the digital file itself so you can get it printed onto either nice paper, or simple printer paper that you can easily give out and not worry about getting back. Or, if you'd like, I can give you just one of the two views for $5.
