So I've been listening to both Trance.FM and AfterHours.FM quite a lot lately. I've become exposed to more and more newer forms of trance music, quite different from the usual uplifter which I'm used to. Like psytrance, hard trance, tech-trance, "trouse", etc. even Trance 2.0.
But anyway, that's not the point. I noticed that this appeared to have become a trend nowadays with some uplifting trance I've heard: There's the usual intro, then the break, with the usual expectation for the eventual "release" or "climax"... but instead of the expected climax, where the break melody is mix together with the epic trance beats, instead, what follows is a very long outro of nothing but just the beats and unchanging bass. Sometimes, the break section returns, and I waited for the expected climax again... but no, that damn repetitive outro returns, and the next track in the non-stop DJ mix starts playing. FUCK.
I admit, I actually got angry whenever that happens. >_< I was left unsatisfied; like a sexual climax that never happened, I felt like I don't get any tension relief from it. I guess that it's also partly due to influence from dubstep-style music structure, where that long outro is pretty much the equivalent of the "drop" section in a dubstep track. Then again, those kind of trance music are probably not for me. I listen to trance music for the release/climax section, not for the repetitive intro and outro beats. It's pretty much why the climax section is the very first section I wrote when I write a trance music.
So, um... yeah, enjoy the preview.

I totally get what you mean. Without the climax, a track just seems unfinished. Like you said, UNSATISFYING. The best way to put it.
If it was just one song structured without the climax, you could say it has artistic merit by breaking the typical form, but there are many like that and they become boring. As if they were meant to be background music for a song.
Music is better when it ls like a story with a beginning which builds up to something, and a short denouement (close). No-one wants to sit through an epilogue as long as the story itself, especially when the story was uneventful.
I look forward to the completion of this track!

Thanks! =) Yeah, whenever I listen to a trance track that lacks a climax section -- that is, after the break it immediately jumps to outro -- I felt cheated. >_< It's as if these tranceheads are deliberately trolling their listeners by leaving out the climax. And yeah, it can be considered an artistic merit if it's rare, but it has becoming increasingly common now, with some well-known trance producers doing it as well, to the point of being annoying.
Anyway, I deliberately posted the track in its current form like this to make my point across. The full version of this track will have a proper climax section after this part. =P I even already sequenced the bassline to match. This track is actually a remake of an old track which I never actually quite finished; I figured that the best way to finish it is to start anew and rewrite the track from scratch (because the old version is crappy ^_^;; ).
