I was going to save this one for the Further Confusion art show in January, but I couldn't resist putting it up now. Another of my feathered canines, but with a background this time! This 5" X 7" painting was my attempt at making my art cheaper for your guys, by making it in a smaller, yet still enjoyable size. Once I had it sketched though, I got carried away and painted a background in acrylics. I'm going to be double matting this piece in red and black soon too, I'll post photos so you guys can see!
So, he's for sale! Please send me a note or at email (wolfnymph AT gmail DOT com) if you are interested.
Done with markers, acrylics and colored pencil on 5" X 7" bristol.

*sighs all dreamily and stuff* I CAPITAL HEART your canines.
I really like the originality of this concept, and it looks so GOOD! I never would have though the pairing of avian and canine would blend so well, but I contribute a lot of it to the subtlety you use with these characters. The feathers are sparse, and blend well enough with the furr that it's not overwhelming. The soulfulness you put into the eyes in remarkable as well.
Thank you, as always, for sharing. ^^
