Self-proclaimed king of the jungle
Last time I made a colored pic about Kevin was three years ago, holy crap!
Original character from my graphic novel Luminahi!
Kevin is one of Senanca’s secret rivals. Secret because it’s suicide to say you’re a rival right in Senanca’s face. As a former regular customer of Senanca's club, Kevin knows Senanca must have blood on his hands- and Kevin tries to hide that on his own today.
A thing more terrifying than Kevin is his mom and history of ex-girlfriends. And the fact that he survived them all somehow. So far so good. He’s not a quitter. He’s a mandrill.

Copy-paste from Wikipedia because I'm a lazy writer:
"The mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) is a primate of the Old World monkey (Cercopithecidae) family, closely related to the baboons and even more closely to the drill. Both the mandrill and the drill were once classified as baboons in genus Papio, but recent research has determined they should be separated into their own genus, Mandrillus."
Also, what makes the mandrill even cooler:
"Charles Darwin wrote in The Descent of Man that 'no other member in the whole class of mammals is coloured in so extraordinary a manner as the adult male mandrills.' "
But that's just me fangasming over favorite animals. xD

Thank you very much! :D I'm glad you like him.
I try to bring some anthro variety in my story. I'm getting bored seeing only felines and canines most of the time when the animal kingdom has a huge selection of species.
Actually, Kevin isn't a baboon, he's a mandrill. They're related to baboons but not the same. In fact, recent research has determined they should be separated into their own genus.

OH i had no idea about mandrills! Thats really interesting. My partner and I are in the process of conceptualising a graphic novel of which two of the main characters are gelada baboons. We were both researching them a buuunch today, he and i have no prior experience in baboons so oop, my bad! I'll keep it in mind though.
And yeah i feel like i really understand the little variety in what already exists- granted the two main characters of our work in progress is a lion and a hyena, but we are branching out with a few other exotic animals. Giraffe, sun bear and a kakapo. I think the reason that canines and felines are so popular is that in media they are already so over hyped, so it's very easy to present something likeable and similar to the fans of another show or movie or comic, and then kind if piggy-back the success. It's honestly a real shame for some.

You're most welcome!
Yeah they are crazy! I was talking about them with a friend once and how they're the only mammalians who come close to how colorful birds can be in comparison!
Hahahah man, the colorful face is still better than the swollen cancerous looking butts some baboon species females get! I saw them at the zoo once and the caretakers have already put up signs to let people know that no, these animals are not sick dfjkdhskf I swear it looked like they had some unhealthy grows on their butts.
The males found them quite attractive, though.

I tried to find pictures, here is one I googled;
http://images.gutefrage.net/media/f.....rs--/0_big.jpg
That's pretty much what their butts looked like. Like giant red brains?? I don't even know how the males know where to put dick in there (nor why they find it attractive haha, looks like the intestines come out of their butts, gah!)
I also happened to find this; http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5wnG6sk_T.....onkey_butt.jpg
Now, knowing that humans stemed off from monkeys somewhere I'm happy that it's not a thing in our species sdhkfsdkfsd
And yeah that song would be most fitting :,D

YEAH something like that!
OMG if I was a famous designer I would make a pillos like that just to troll dsfhkdfdsf
I guess that#s the only upside to that; some fleshy, wobbly pillow to sit on or have someone lean on - but damn does it look gross dfjdsfk 0/10 would not lean on that
