I described her backstory in the nude version of this picture, although I've thought of a few more details.
She is a fusion of three separate creatures, and was made as a magical exercise by a witch-doctor. However, he started with three very young animals, and only Kinsha (the gazelle) claims to remember anything prior to when they were put together. In role-play, and I've got a bunch of logs around somewhere, she was the witch-doctor's second effort, and was made to scare villages into giving him tribute. I imagine a teenage phase, where they were more 'leggy and stretched' looking, and less rounded, and so a bit more monstrous.
They do have three personalities. Kinsha is more 'herd aware' and willing to think about social consequences, Shasa is basically an adrenaline junkie, likes simplistic things and explosions. Ess is essentially snake-like and a bit of a cypher, as mentally distant from the other two as she is physically. So both Kinsha and Shasa don't quite understand her and she doesn't communicate much. They are her tail, as much as she is theirs, and canonically, there's a strip of scales going up their spine almost to the shoulder-blades, and a giant cobra hood-marking on their back. Limb-wise, it's not exactly 'hind legs of a gazelle, forelegs/arms of a cheetah', but more the bones and muscles from both pairs of legs were put together, and sculpted into gazelle legs and cheetah-ish arms with paw-hands.
From their perspective, (excepting Kinsha's fuzzy kid recollections), they have always been together and always like this.
