Hrm, seems some people didn't get the “Alberta” reference. “Canada” ( a word meaning “an empty space on a map” ) is the empty space on the map north of the U.S., created by the Founding Fathers as a place to exile people who took their oaths of loyalty too seriously. Alberta is a small town there (population 34 1/2) which recently had an unseasonal megadump of snow. The towns folk dug out through the snow from their igloos and and looked aboot and said appalled “Eh???”s for a few days, then returned to hibernate. carlos and i live in the small town of “British Columbia” (a word meaning “an empty space on the map between Washington and Alaska” - population 12 1/4) on the Left Coast where it has been 182F for the last few months due to the great volcanic rifts spewing lava. Fortunately all this odd weather has not interfered with Canada's main export to the U.S., the annual harvest of over 300 Klondike bars, other wise our economy would have collapsed and we wouldn't be able to feed our sled-dogs.

Coming from someone who lives in alberta, that seems about right. Though it doesn't actually snow that
much in Alberta. We do get snow, just no where near as much as our neighbors to the east (Ontario, Quebec,
and Maritime Provinces). Albertan winters are usually much more frigid and cold then they are snowy.
I'm talking -20 to -40 degrees celsius cold.
