Hm... looks good - the vanishing point is not perfect, but the character leaning at the car looks much more three dimensional by the shadow. I would say, go on in this direction - it looks good.

the vanishing point of the car lays soemwhere to the left, since it was a photo of a car during a race, and a good two hands up in the air apparently I used for reference. :) so it's hard to compare both points correctly.

könnte man meinen, aber die räder dürften recht viel platz in radhaus haben. die karosse besteht eh nur aus GFK und alu. :)
mein referenzbild zeigte die schüssel im flug, und da hatte das ding einen enormen federweg für einen asphalt/glattbahnrenner. von den filmchen auf ytube her, muß das ne menge spaß machen.

Ja Driftrennen sind sehr beliebt, besonders im asiatischen Raum. Dort kommen die besten Drifter her. Aber auch Drag-Rennen und normale Rennen find ich sehr gut, wobei die Formel 1 ziemlich langweilig geworden ist in den letzten Jahren.

so weit ich weiß, sind diese Outlaws nicht zum driften nach asiatischem stil gedacht. eher driften sie wie rallye-piloten, zumindest auf glattbahnen.

Car looks great, in my mind the World of Outlaw Late Model series is an offical place for FA members to get their racing face on.
If there were an artistic side of the series, this would be in the winners circle for best drawing of a driver and his car. Awesome job

I'll definently show it to the guys, I think they will get a wo! reaction, and that lable was created like 3 or 4 years ago and is hardly ever updated, I looked on the World of Outlaws site and they don't show who owns the logo. Plus they have a downloadable section of all the series logos. So I don't think the chairman or who ever owns that logo isn't going to make a huge deal out of it.

I surely hope so. don't wnat to create unnecessary trouble, y'know. :)

say... another commenter mentioned the wheel size versus the wheel well shape. did I size them right, you think? or too large?

Oh, I think the wheels and tires are fine they are a little big but I could care less. But on the contrary depending on the setup of the car and if it's raining on the track our water tires tend to be big and fill up gaps between the fenders. So I think the wheels and tires are fine.

take a photo with good contrasts and a light table if you're doing it by hand, or include it into something digital, and redraw it on the next layer. if you have someone standing by it helps with setting their sizes in proportions.

although, besides an old american street dinosaur, everything looks small. XD
