Unaware of Jun’s departure, Shirik and Jake Windfang charge back to the sanctuary on the suspicion that she was recaptured, but find that none of them were regarded as threats. Shirik learns that Kitt’s disappearance is still Spinner’s doing and fears that he is in danger again. To this end, Bly the aura wolf requests the Latvian mother leopard Audeia to track down Kitt and bring him back to Shirik, confident that she may stand a fighting chance against Spinner should the need arise. The feline accepts the mission out of her understanding for Shirik's worry and loneliness.
