Paladin's badge from AC '08!
He emailed me Monday before the con and suggested the theme of his character leaning against a bar, beer and cig in hand, with his name on a placard/poster/etc in the background.
I loved the idea, and jumped right on it - only to be thwarted first by an emergency order of badge-prints from Indigo (whose printer uses only Best Buy's special proprietary and expensive Epson ink cartridges and was thus blowing her entire button profit margin), and again at the con itself by an ego-reaffirming near-constant trickle of badge/button/gumdrop commissions. Every time Justin came by, I was madly scrambling on anything but his badge - to the point of hiding behind a sheet of Bristol board on Sunday when it was still not done. D: ...Thankfully, at least by that point I'd inked it, and was starting to color it, and was not entirely failing....ish....
Anyways. As a consolation prize for not finishing his badge at the con, I enlisted
indigoangelcat to do the colored-pencil shading on this one, since she kicks arse at it.
Microns and Prismacolor markers/pencils on Bristol board. Final size: 6 x 10" (overboard much, Jennies?). Photo taken before it was threaded with a badge-holder and laminated in our ultra-nifty hot laminator for waterproof preservation purposes, and mailed out.
