Keth was born in an orcish family in the mountains of Nathia. One might think that Keth is just like many other orc - a rude, rowdy orc that likes to kill and pillage people. But that is not true, for Keth is different from his brothers and sisters, his family and everyone else around him. When they ate meat, Keth ate vegetables. When they practiced fighting, Keth instead opted to draw and paint. Everything they did, he pretty much did the opposite. His parents got really upset and confused from Keth's odd behavior. After all, it was very unusual for an half-orc. They beat Keth up to see if it could make him tougher and meaner, but it just made Keth cry and get depressed. He lived with them for several years, being brutally assaulted by his parents and taunted upon by his brothers and sisters.
Later on, his parents got really fed up with Keth. Keth just seemed to refuse to change. His parents brutally assaulted him and then dumped him into a river at the base of Nathia Mountains, and left him there for the dead. Keth was too sore and tired to save himself, and since he was never taught swimming at all, he almost immediately drowned. Fate seemed set for Keth at that point.
However, Keth woke up to a human woman in a tent. Keth was terribly startled and scared, from what had happened to him and what is happening around him. The human woman had the patience and love to help Keth get out of his fear of other races, and Keth shortly began to trust the woman, and became friends with her. She later told him that he has been rescued by the traveling toupee of singers and dancers that was traveling to their next destination via boat, and invited him to watch some of their performances. After watching a few performances, Keth knew that he wanted to be a singer or a dancer because it seemed so fantasticing to him.
The elven husband of the human woman that resuced Keth took him under his wing, and taught him the basics. He was taught to sing, use instruments and dance. Keth seemed to favor singing and using instruments more than dancing, so the elven man decided to teach him in that area more. Keth grew up learning how to sing with and without instrustments, and was even invited to perform with the toupee once he became good enough. The elven man also taught Keth how to use bow and arrow just in case if he ever needs to defend himself, and Keth became skilled with it, but still subpar to the most skilled archers.
When Keth became 18, he announced to his toupee that he would be going on an adventure. The human woman and her husband, the elven man gave Keth a special medallion to help him remember his life, hope and love at the toupee. His toupee said their farewells, and Keth went on his way - but he knew that they will meet again later down the road.

Keth is one of the characters I've run in a 3rd Edition Dungeons and Dragons game, and up to now still my favorite. He's a lv 8 Bard/7 Virtuoso. I hope to run him again someday! =3
