In Purgatory there is an order of guardians that are sworn to protect Purgatory from ALL threats no matter what they are. These guardians are the most powerful warriors in all of Purgatory. Each guardian governs a key aspect of Purgatory. Life, Death, Time, Order and Chaos. For example, Alexander Selenveen governs Death and Lilith governs Chaos.

These five guardians have been the Purgatorial guardians since Purgatory’s creation. As stated above, they rank as the most elite and most powerful warriors in all of Purgatory. They are above the gods but also, below them. To the mortal eye, they are just mortals themselves but truthfully, they’re power is beyond mortal imagination.

The leader of the guardians is Ezarald Zevron, who governs Order. In the past, the order has not only saved Purgatory, but all of creation from destruction, and yet, they are a secret order.

Yes, the Guardians are a secret order of warriors that protect Purgatory and even a part of Creation. Only Purgatory’s King and a select few others know about them, truly.
The sacrifice to be a guardian is truly grand. Guardians cannot have families, Guardians cannot have lovers, Guardians cannot express happiness or any other emotion and lastly, Guardians are forbidden to have children. To break any of these ‘laws’, is punishable by absolute obliteration.

Each Guardian carries an item that resembles an aspect that they govern. For example, Alexander has a skull he keeps with him and Yuka, the guardian of time, has a pocket watch with her at all times. However when a Guardian dies, this item and the guardian themself, are wiped from Creation forever with no hope of a return.

So far, only one Guardian has ever died, and that was the former guardian of Death. Umbala Veristan, who died while fighting off the forces of hell from taking over Purgatory, 4,550 years ago.

Lastly, and the most important thing to know, is that all guardians are immortal by lifespan only. They can still die through normal means. Another thing to note is that, Guardians are directly involved with the aspects they represent. Meaning that for example, Alexander is the Guardian of Death, he is simply put, Death. As long as Alexander lives, death is inevitable in someone’s life.
