Sort of But Not Quite Like
A bit of an explanation... A very dull explanation. You have been warned.
Anyway, back in the 70s and 80s when I was introduced to British TV, the British Broadcasting Corporation had their own Audio Workshop and in-house music guys.
Who had just discovered electronic synthesisers. So there was a LOT of this jazzy but horribly synthy music going on.
And for reasons that may never be explained, I felt I had to try it.

I find your piece a bit more melodic/complex compared to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop music. Theirs sounds more crude and simplistic due to the difficulty of working with the equipment. They also did a lot of "found sounds" mixed along with the analog synths.
I could imagine this music comfortably in a SNES game for sure.
