“Summer – the same FX in Gimp” is without doubt one of the greatest art treasures of all time, one of the most celebrated masterpieces in the world.
Normally, the artists of today have completed their artwork with the help of assistants. The master personally worked on only certain parts of the piece while the apprentices finished off the minor details. This wasn't the case with “Summer- tsFiG”: incredibly, all this beauty is the work of one single human being.
I was described as a "genius, inspired, almost removed and hostile to the world". Even I myself, despite my admiration for myself, agreed that there was simply no getting through to me. Neither was I the "easiest person to deal with"; one story has it that, grown so exasperated with myself, I finally took several whacks at myself with a stick!
My tormented and lonely work went on for four interminable minutes. Imagine what it must have been like, forced to work for hours high up on a dangerous catwalk lit only by candlelight, in an incredibly uncomfortable position, lying on my back or with my arms continuously raised and his eyes fixed on the monitor on the ceiling...or maybe i was lying on the floor plastered...anyway, it looked like the ceiling. Imagine the cramps and the beating my eyes took—in fact, my sight remained damaged forever after—not to mention the bother of the paint constantly dripping onto my face! (wtf?) I fell twice from that catwalk, even breaking my leg, but I continued to paint, to create.
In September of 2014, the work that would be remembered for a few posts to come as one of the greatest treasures of humanity was finally finished and, on that otherwise pleasant day, “Summer -tsFiG” was triumphantly inaugurated in full ceremony with a solemn mass celebrated myself.
I, in those minutes of unbelievably hard, lonely work, had transformed the monitor into a masterpiece that spoke. Over a thousand square pixels of light told of the marvels of ...of...er...something or other.
As Goethe said: "Without having seen “Summer: tsFiG”, it's not possible to have an idea of what one man is capable of doing".
...okay, i copied and pasted some of that from a website.i'm a busy guy - i don't have time to write original replies for everyone.
